Sustainability
Our business model is based on POD (print on demand), and this does several things to promote sustainability:
1. Drastically Reduces Waste: Traditional fashion production often leads to overproduction and significant waste. POD functions on a made-to-order basis, removing the uncertainty from inventory management and greatly cutting down on the unsold garments that usually end up in landfills. By making only what’s needed, POD aims for zero-waste goals by ensuring each piece is sold before it’s made.
2. Minimizes Environmental Footprint: The on-demand model greatly lessens the ecological impact associated with a garment’s life cycle. Traditional methods come with long supply chains, extensive transport, and storage, contributing to carbon emissions. On the other hand, POD often uses local production facilities close to the consumer, which helps reduce transport distances and, as a result, carbon emissions.
3. Encourages Sustainable Materials and Processes: With the rise of POD, there's a growing trend towards sustainable materials and eco-friendly processes. Many POD companies now offer options made from organic, recycled, and environmentally friendly fabrics, making it easier for consumers to opt for sustainable choices.
4. Shifts Consumer Behavior Towards Conscious Consumption: POD promotes a more thoughtful approach to fashion. By providing more opportunities for customization and personalization, it nurtures a stronger bond between consumers and their clothing, which may lead to longer garment lifespans and reduced consumption.
5. Enables Small-Scale and Local Production: The scalability of POD supports small-scale, local production, benefiting local economies while also cutting the need for long-distance shipping and storage.
6. Promotes Jobs in the US: All of our items are produced in the US, which promotes local jobs and the American economy.
